Newsletter 1 - January 2003

Welcome...

...to the first ever edition of Tom Yates's newsletter, which coincides with the launch of Tom's website, www.tomyates.com. The newsletter will be published monthly on the website and sent by email to members of the email list: join below to be kept up to date with news and concert dates.

Album Finished

Tom's debut album Empty Mirror was finally completed in December. The website includes lyrics and credits for all the tracks on the album, plus a couple of sample tracks which you can download for free.

Only a limited number of copies of Empty Mirror are available at the moment - if you'd like to get your hands on a CD then please contact info@tomyates.com. More convenient distribution arrangements should follow eventually - watch this space.

First Live Appearance

Tom appeared at the Dover Castle pub, Brighton on 17 December in an acoustic gig, joint with Steve Parker (who engineered and played bass and guitar on Empty Mirror) and Cathy Rennie. The three-piece band, on their first outing, included a few tracks from Empty Mirror in their set.

The gig went very well, and the group of three are planning more dates for the near future - join the email list to be the first to know the details.

Email List

And finally, a note about that email list. Email addresses will never, ever, be sold or otherwise passed on to anyone, so there's no risk of spam. You'll just get the brief monthly newsletter, plus an occasional gig update if for example a date is booked too late to be included in the newsletter.
