Newsletter 6 – Easter 2005
New album
Suddenly it's all go. The new album, the pedalling tom yates, is finally finished and pressed, and, in a sense, released. Eleven new songs, from the already-popular title track to the poignant 'muse's song', and the initial reception has been great.
The newly formed Red Pen Records has not yet managed to get it into the shops (or even had time to try), but watch this space; in the meantime, £10 will secure you a copy – just drop a note to sales@redpenrecords.
Website reloaded
tomyates.com has had a major update and facelift: all the lyrics and details from the new album are now online, and there are some new photos to add a splash of colour.
In recognition that these newsletters appear a little more infrequently than originally planned, there's also a new blog, which Tom promises to post to on a regular basis. Have a look around the new site!
Gigs
Tom is not yet gigging his own songs, though now that the album's done, that's something to watch out for. But Sparker are playing the Freebutt, Brighton on Thursday 21 April, and the very next night, I, Thalamus are playing the Water Rats, Kings Cross, London, following their recent successful outing at Cargo. See the blog for more details of these and other gigs.
Thank you for your support.
